Since a few months Itron and Wigersma & Sikkema are partners for gas volume converters. Itron recently developed the Cyble SC, a communication module that has been designed especially for gas utilities who need to connect electronic devices, such as volume converters, to a gas meter using serial communication.
Wigersma & Sikkema has started production of a special version of the volume converter for Itron: Corus SC. The Corus SC works together perfectly with the Cyble SC.
When connecting the Cyble SC to the Corus SC the converter automatically reads the counters of the Cyble SC. With this benefit you are assured that you always transmit the correct gas meter index to the Corus SC, missing pulses are a thing of the past, and operational costs for installation and visits on site can be reduced.
